Of course, that’s just the start of The Mayflower’s always-evolving selection of classes, hands-on activities and guest lectures. We’re home to a community of avid lifelong students who bring motivation, passion, and curiosity to the classroom – and prove that learning never gets old.

“I have friends who don’t think a senior living community is for them,” says resident Rikki Hanin. “But I look around and see that this is a place where you come to really live. You’re active, you’re social, you’re engaged. There are music programs, people discussing art, intellectual discussions, always something interesting going on.”

From wine-tasting and pasta-making classes … to a colorful array of painting, flower arranging, and drawing workshops … to ballroom dance, behind-the-scenes ballet rehearsals, and guest seminars on the history of opera … to active resident-led bridge and billiards clubs, there really is something for everyone.

It’s all part of an environment designed to promote wellness in every aspect of life, supported by a Life Plan that minimizes worries through a maintenance-free lifestyle and award-winning healthcare. With less stress and more confidence in the future, our residents are empowered to do more of what they love – in learning, creativity, culture and more.

Life is about exploring what’s beyond the horizon, no matter how long it’s been since you were last in the classroom.
