Wellness and Fitness Tips from Elyse

Make the most out of your exercise minutes. If you want to get more benefit from your exercise there are three simple things you can do.

  • Interval training: Alternate vigorous exercise between stretches of easier exercise. For example, walk vigorously for 3 minutes then your normal pace for 7 minutes.
  • Cross-training: Do different types of exercise that challenge muscle groups you don't normally exercise.
  • Find creative ways to exercise all during the day: for example, walk the steps instead of riding the elevator, park your car far away from your destination.
